CAIR Calls on U.S. to End Mass Bombing of Civilians in Iran as More Schools Hit, Death Toll Tops 1,000

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called on the U.S. government to end the mass bombing of civilians in Iran after 20 schools were reportedly hit across Iran and the country’s civilian death toll reportedly topped 1,000 people.

The number of people killed in five days of U.S.-Israeli attacks against Iran has reportedly risen to 1,045, according to medical authorities and 20 schools throughout the country have reportedly been hit by U.S. or Israeli bombings.

[NOTE: Defense Secretary Hegseth says there will be “no stupid rules of engagement” in the U.S. attacks on Iran.]

In a statement, CAIR said:

“The mass U.S.-Israel bombing of city blocks across Tehran and other cities is clearly endangering and killing civilians, including children.

“Although the American people have come to expect war crimes against civilians from the Netanyahu regime, we expect better from our own nation. The Pentagon must stop using American taxpayer dollars to support or mimic the cowardly Israeli practice of bombing schools, hospitals, mosques, and heritage sites.

“The American people want this illegal war for Israel to end altogether, and until it does, our government must at least leave civilians and civilian sites alone and demand that the Israeli apartheid government do the same.”

CAIR recently called on Congress to conduct a transparent and independent investigation into the reported massacre of 165 schoolgirls and teachers at an Iranian elementary school in a bombing reportedly perpetrated by the United States or Israel amid their joint bombing of Iran.
