The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned an arson attack on a mosque in the occupied West Bank by Israeli settlers and U.S. inaction in respond to the murder of an American citizen from Philadelphia by other settlers days ago.
Israeli settlers vandalized a mosque in the occupied West Bank town of Tell early Monday, spray-painting offensive phrases and setting a fire, according to the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Religious Affairs.

“The Israeli settlers backed by Israel who set another mosque on fire in the Occupied West Bank days after other settlers murdered an American citizen from Philadelphia are committing these crimes because of the support the U.S. continues to provide to Israel,” said CAIR. “The Trump administration must break its silence and stop enabling the Israeli government’s crimes, including crimes against Americans and houses of worship.”
