(WASHINGTON, D.C., 12/28/2022) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the distribution of antisemitic flyers in Grand Junction, Colo., and expressed solidarity with the local Jewish community. Residents in several neighborhoods found the hate material Sunday morning.

Hate Group Targets Grand Junction
In a statement, CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper said:
“We condemn this latest effort to promote antisemitic hate and stand in solidary with the Jewish community in Grand Junction and throughout the nation. Every form of bigotry must be challenged and repudiated by Americans of all faiths and backgrounds. American Muslims answer the call of our faith when we stand up for justice for all.”
He noted that CAIR recently condemned a series of racist and anti-Muslim videos created by an Aurora, Colo., city council member and urged that official to meet with leaders from the impacted communities.
Hooper said the American Muslim community and CAIR stand in solidarity with all those challenging anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
