(WASHINGTON D.C., 8/17/2022) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the distribution of antisemitic flyers to homes in Raleigh, N.C.
At least four different kinds of antisemitic flyers were discovered in a Raleigh neighborhood with a significant Jewish population. The incident has been reported to the Raleigh police.
“We condemn the distribution of these hateful materials in an apparent attempt to intimidate members of the Jewish community of Raleigh,” said CAIR National Communications Coordinator Ismail Allison. “We urge law enforcement authorities to conduct a full investigation.”
He said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
