CAIR Condemns Israeli Drone Attack on Children Gathering Water in Gaza

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today condemned an Israeli drone attack targeting children gathering water in Gaza.

The Sameer Project reported:

“During our water distributions, these kids were pushing their jerrycans in a trolley when a quadcopter started shooting at them. The military occupation is constantly targeting Palestinian children in Gaza. This is beyond horrific yet it’s STILL happening, almost for three years now. There is no ceasefire, there was never a ceasefire. The genocide in Gaza needs to end!”

In a statement, Washington, D.C., based CAIR said:

“It is unconscionable that Palestinian children cannot even gather water without facing the threat of being killed by an Israeli drone. The killing and targeting of Palestinian civilians, especially children, must end. There must be meaningful accountability for those responsible for attacks on civilians, and the international community must act to ensure that Palestinian children and all civilians in Gaza are protected from Israel’s genocidal forces.”

CAIR has repeatedly condemned the killing of Palestinian civilians and children in Israel’s Gaza genocide and called for accountability and protection for civilians.
