CAIR Condemns Neo-Nazi, White Supremacist Vandalism Targeting New Hampshire Coffee Shop

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned neo-Nazi and white supremacist vandalism targeting The Moka Pot, a coffee shop in Manchester, New Hampshire.

According to local reports by the Union Leader and NHPR, vandals smashed windows and spray-painted a Nazi swastika along with white supremacist messages on the property overnight. Police are actively investigating the incident as a suspected hate crime, while community members have quickly rallied to support the business and its owners.

In a statement, Washington, D.C.-based CAIR said:

“We stand in solidarity with the owners of The Moka Pot and the entire Manchester community against this shameful display of bigotry and intimidation. Neo-Nazi and white supremacist symbols and rhetoric should have no place in our society. Hate targeting small businesses and community gathering spots are intended to instill fear, but the swift support shown by local residents demonstrates that unity and solidarity will always triumph over hate.”

CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
