N.C. Jewish homes targeted with antisemitic flyers, flyers targeting anti-racism teaching distributed in Tenn.
(WASHINGTON D.C., 12/20/2021) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned antisemitic flyers targeting Jewish homes in North Carolina and flyers targeting anti-racism teaching distributed in Tennessee.
In Greensboro, N.C., multiple Jewish homes were targeted with flyers promoting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories on Sunday morning. The flyers were delivered to the homes with newspapers. Greensboro police are investigating the incident. The Greensboro Jewish Federation said there is no evidence linking the flyers with the distribution of any newspaper.

In Williamson County, Tenn., a group distributed flyers decrying anti-racism teaching to parents waiting in pickup lines at local schools last Thursday. The flyers alleged that content being taught to students at Williamson County schools promotes “white guilt” and “anti-Americanism.”

“Hatred and bigotry are on the rise nationwide, and communities must come together to oppose systemic anti-Black racism, antisemitism and white supremacy,” said CAIR National Communications Coordinator Ismail Allison. “We condemn all acts of hate and stand in solidarity with all those impacted by bigotry.”
Allison said the American Muslim community and CAIR stand in solidarity with all those challenging anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
