(BALTIMORE, MD, 8/11/2022) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned racist stickers posted around Lake Kittamaqundi in Columbia, Md.
Residents discovered stickers featuring “white power” slogans around the area. The incident was denounced by county officials, and police are investigating.

“Attempts by white supremacists to intimidate communities by spreading hateful propaganda are completely unacceptable and must be investigated,” said CAIR’s Maryland Director Zainab Chaudry. “We stand in solidarity with all those targeted by racism and hate.”
She noted that the American Muslim community and CAIR stand in solidarity with all those challenging systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, antisemitism, white supremacy and all other forms of bigotry.
