The Connecticut chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CT) today welcomed the arrest of a man who reportedly hung a Confederate flag over his neighbor’s fence and called him racial slurs.
A man in Milford has been charged with breach of peace and intimidation due to bias or bigotry after he reportedly hung a Confederate flag over his neighbor’s fence and called him racial slurs.
“We welcome the arrest of the alleged perpetrator of this disturbing incident of racist harassment,” said CAIR-CT Board Chair Farhan Memon. “No one deserves to be subjected to bigoted threats in their own home or anywhere in society.”
CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
