CAIR Declares President Biden a ‘War Criminal’ After Letting Israel Flout His 30-Day Gaza Aid Deadline

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said that it considers President Biden a “war criminal” after his decision to continue sending weapons to the Israeli government after it flouted Biden’s 30-day deadline to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.

In a statement, CAIR said:

“We strongly condemn President Biden’s decision to continue illegally supplying the Israeli government with deadly weapons even after Benjamin Netanyahu violated the 30-day deadline that the administration set for Israel to stop starving Gaza.

“Let’s be very clear. Knowingly funding war crimes in violation of U.S. and international law makes you a war criminal.

“We never thought this day would come, but we must speak the truth plainly and clearly: President Biden is a war criminal. So is Antony Blinken. So is Lloyd Austin. We condemn them in the strongest terms, and so will history.”

Aid groups in Gaza described the humanitarian situation there is still “apocalyptic,” with more than 80 percent of the population of 2.3 million displaced and more than two-thirds of buildings destroyed or damaged in 13 months of war. No significant change has occurred over the past 30 days, according to aid groups and Palestinian journalists.

Yesterday, CAIR said a top Israeli official’s statement that land in the occupied West Bank will be annexed in the coming year is a direct result of the Biden administration’s complicity with the Gaza genocide, which empowered the far-right Netanyahu government to commit crimes against humanity with impunity.

On Monday, CAIR called on President Biden to “salvage what remains of his legacy” by upholding U.S. law, which requires the suspension of weapons transfers to the far-right Israeli government after Benjamin Netanyahu flouted Biden’s 30-day deadline to increase humanitarian aid to Gaza, where Palestinians in north Gaza have faced a total siege for weeks.
