The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today demanded that the Biden administration stop Israel’s genocidal plans for an Israeli “extermination zone” in northern Gaza in which every remaining human being would be starved to death or killed by U.S. weapons.
Reports indicate Israel is now carrying out that planned genocide and ethnic cleansing. Kamal Adwan Hospital has 24 hours to evacuate. Israeli troops are reportedly besieging people in Jabalia and Beit Lahia and shooting anyone who goes out.
[CNN previously reported: “Those who leave will receive food and water,” Giora Eiland, a retired Israeli military general who is spearheading the proposal, says in a slickly produced video posted online earlier this month. “But in a week the entire territory of the northern Gaza Strip will become military territory, and this military territory as far as we are concerned, no supplies will enter it.”]
In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:
“Mr. President, don’t you have a conscience? The horrific suffering inflicted on the Palestinian people, with the complicity of your administration, must stop. You must reverse course and stop this latest Israeli plan for an ‘extermination zone’ in northern Gaza in which every living being would be intentionally starved to death or murdered. People of conscience will long remember ‘genocide Joe’ and your enabling the attempted extermination of an entire people.”
Israel’s genocide in Gaza has already resulted in the killing of at some 42,000 Palestinians, including 16,795 children and 11,378 women. Most Gazans have been forced from their homes, which were then destroyed in a Israeli campaign of mass destruction and ethnic cleansing.
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
