CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad Again Named to 2026 List of World’s ‘500 Most Influential Muslims’

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, said today that its National Executive Director Nihad Awad has again been named to “The Muslim 500: The World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims.” Awad has been named to the annual list a number of times.

American Muslims named to the list include Awad, Dalia Mogahed, Linda Sarsour, Khaled Baydoun, Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), André Carson (D-IN) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Imam Omar Suleiman, Imam Siraj Wahhaj, and a number of other American Muslim leaders, artists, media personalities, scholars, businesspeople, and activists.

The annual list is an initiative of the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre, an independent research entity affiliated with the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought. The Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought is a non-governmental, independent institute headquartered in Amman, Jordan.
