(KANSAS CITY, KS, 7/11/25) – The Kansas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Kansas) today condemned neo-Nazi vandalism targeting a Catholic school in the rural Barton County community of Olmitz.
St. Anne’s Catholic School reportedly suffered extensive damage and was vandalized with Nazi swastikas and slogans.

“We condemn this apparently bias-motivated attack on a religious institution and urge law enforcement authorities to swiftly apprehend and punish those responsible to the full extent of the law,” said CAIR-Kansas Board Chair Moussa Elbayoumy.
He urged faith community leaders to use advice offered in CAIR’s “Best Practices for Mosque and Community Safety” booklet to help keep religious facilities safe. The advice in the booklet is applicable to houses of worship of all faiths.
Elbayoumy added that earlier this year, CAIR-Kansas condemned a rally and march by masked white supremacists from the Patriot Front in Kansas City on Saturday.
He noted that CAIR-Kansas and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
