On Friday, June 28, the Greater Los Angeles Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-LA) will join leaders from faith-based organizations throughout the Greater LA area for a peace rally and community prayer for a Gaza ceasefire and for the people of Palestine.
Over the past eight months, the ongoing genocide and humanitarian crisis in Gaza has resulted in the massacre of more than 38,000 Palestinian civilians, a majority of whom are women and children. Israel’s military campaign in Gaza has devastated entire communities, obliterated infrastructure, and deprived over one million people of food, water, and medical supplies.
This event will provide an opportunity for our communities to come together and stand united in our call for peace, to mourn the lives lost, and to pray for a ceasefire and an end to the genocide in Gaza and the suffering of the Palestinian people.
