The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today announced that its National Litigation Director and General Counsel Lena Masri has been named Advocate of the Year by the Muslim Bar Association of New York (MuBANY).
Masri focuses her practice in the area of high-impact and strategic civil rights litigation. She is the former Legal Director of CAIR Michigan chapter (CAIR-MI) and is licensed to practice law in Michigan, New York, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Masri holds a Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University – Indianapolis, School of Law, where she focused her studies in International & Comparative Law and International Human Rights Law. She will be honored at this year’s MuBANY Gala and Awards Reception on May 28th.
