CAIR-Minnesota, TakeAction MN, Jewish Voice for Peace, Minneapolis Council Members, Dozens of Groups to Introduce Resolution in Support of Gaza Ceasefire and Palestinian Human Rights

On Friday, Jan. 5, the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Minnesota), TakeAction MN, Jewish Voice for Peace, American Muslims for Palestine, Council Members Wonsley, Chowdhury, Chughtai, and dozens of community organizations plan to hold a press conference to announce a Gaza Ceasefire Resolution that will be voted by full Minneapolis City Council next week.  

The community organizations and members are asking that the City of Minneapolis support a full, immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and for state and federal delegations to use their full authority to advance immediate and permanent ceasefire, and urgently needed humanitarian aid in Gaza.

The following organizations have put together the proposed resolution in support of a Permanent Ceasefire and Palestinian Human Rights. Council members Wonsley, Chowdhury, and Chughtai are authoring the resolution and will bring a vote for next week’s City Council meeting.
