Later today (3 p.m.), the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN) will join the leadership of Masjid An-Nur at a Minneapolis press conference to address a recent shooting incident that occurred outside the mosque.
On the evening of Monday, Aug. 19, a worshiper was reportedly shot multiple times outside Masjid An-Nur after noticing and confronting criminal behavior in front of the street entrance of the mosque. The alleged assailant, who initially fled, made a U-turn and shot the worshiper, who is currently in stable condition.
The press conference will address the incident and more details.
