CAIR, N. Virginia Mosque to Host Election Watch Party for Muslim Community

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), in partnership with Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center’s Minara Café, is pleased to announce a Presidential Election Watch Party for the local Muslim community on Election Day, November 5, from 7 to 11 PM. This event offers a welcoming and inclusive space for community members to gather and experience the unfolding election results together, fostering civic awareness and dialogue during this critical moment in the nation’s democratic journey.

LOCATION: Minara Café at Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center

DATE AND TIME: November 5, Election Day, from 7 to 11 PM

ACTIVITIES: Live election results viewing, interactive discussions, and educational programming on civic engagement. Limited refreshments, sponsored by CAIR, will be provided.

The event, to be held at Minara Café, will feature live-streamed election results, interactive activities, and facilitated discussions designed to engage and inform attendees. Aiming to encourage community connection and engagement, the evening will provide an educational platform for understanding the democratic process and the importance of civic participation.

Through this event, CAIR and Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center seek to create an atmosphere that is both non-partisan and supportive of diverse viewpoints, welcoming community members to join in discussions about the election’s potential impact. Attendees will have the chance to participate in activities designed to deepen understanding of civic engagement while discussing the implications of the election results in real-time.

Objectives of the Presidential Election Watch Party:
