CAIR-NY Calls for AG Probe into Real Estate Events Across New York State Advertising Sale of Occupied Palestinian Land

The New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called for an investigation into the real estate events across New York State advertising the planned sale of occupied Palestinian land.

The series of events, reportedly organized by “Keller Williams” is set to occur on March 7 on Long Island and March 10 in Hartsdale.

The March 12and March 13 series of events are reportedly sponsored by International Marketing & Promotion, Emanuel Group, Your Home in Israel, JewishPress, and the Israeli American Council.

In a statement, CAIR-NY Supervising Attorney Lamya Agarwala said

“It is reprehensible that real estate companies are looking to profit from land in occupied Palestine as people are getting murdered and displaced from their homes in Gaza. The United States government and the international community have deemed Israeli settlements illegal, and New York State has a responsibility to ensure it is not complicit in further developing illegal settlements.

“We call on Attorney General Leticia James to investigate the legality of these real estate events, and we call on our fellow New Yorkers to find local actions and protest these real estate events.”

Peaceful demonstrations organized by local organizers and interfaith groups are expected to occur in opposition to the sales.
