CAIR-NY Condemns Antisemitic Stabbing in Brooklyn

The New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY), a chapter of the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned a reported stabbing in Brooklyn on Tuesday that is being investigated as a possible antisemitic attack.

In a statement, Afaf Nasher, Esq., CAIR-NY Executive Director, said:

“We strongly condemn this reported stabbing and any act of violence motivated by antisemitism or any other form of bigotry. Our thoughts are with the victim and their loved ones. Hate has no place in our communities, and violence driven by prejudice threatens the safety and dignity of us all. We urge law enforcement to conduct a full and transparent investigation and to hold the perpetrator accountable.”

She said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, anti-Muslim hate, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.

CAIR-NY’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.

La misión de CAIR-NY es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
