CAIR-Ohio Joins Affordable Housing Fair for Franklin County Residents

(COLUMBUS, OHIO 8/19/2021) – On Sunday, August 15, 2021, the Ohio chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Ohio) participated in the Affordable Housing Fair at the Linden Community Center which was hosted by the Franklin County Auditor. The purpose of the event was to create a connected environment for community members that helps build a socially equitable city. As a participant organization, CAIR-Ohio shared resources on religious accommodations and legal services with Franklin County community members.

CAIR-Ohio, along with several community organizations and social services providers, shared resources with the hundreds of Franklin County families in attendance on accessing important social, financial, and legal resources. Policy Director Tala Dahbour was available to share materials and information on rights education and religious accommodations for employment, education, and healthcare, as well as to connect with Franklin County residents on CAIR-Ohio’s community involvement.

CAIR-Ohio has four full-time attorneys on staff who provide free legal representation for victims of various forms of discrimination.
