(COLUMBUS, OH – 12/11/23) — The Ohio Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Ohio) will hold a press conference on Monday, December 11th, to address the violence and human rights abuses in Palestine, which have risen to a genocide in the past two months. This has been exacerbated and endorsed by our elected officials and funded by our government. We call on them to support a ceasefire immediately to stop this genocide inflicted by Israel, which has murdered over 17,973 civilians, at least 7,729 children. And leaving more than 48,780 injured and at least 7,780 missing.

Date: Monday, December 11, 2023

Time: 11:15 AM

Address: CAIR-Ohio Columbus Office: 4985 Cemetery Rd. Hilliard, OH 43026

LIVESTREAM: https://www.facebook.com/cairohio/

CAIR-Ohio will address the ongoing genocide in Gaza and its effect on Ohio Muslims and the broader community. Its offices have received an uptick of over 600% in incident reports and requests for help in the past 2 months, as compared to 2022. This includes the expansion of surveillance and intimidation of Muslims, particularly young professionals and student activists.

CAIR-Ohio will also discuss the role of the United States in the region, including its indiscriminate military aid to Israel, and call for an end to the occupation and annexation of Palestinian land as a means to achieve lasting peace and justice.
