On Thursday, September 18, the Ohio chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Ohio) will host a community town hall demanding justice for baby Mahad and his family.
The town hall follows CAIR-Ohio’s ongoing advocacy for the family. The case stems from a 2021 incident when, at just three months old, Mahad was admitted to Nationwide Children’s Hospital for a minor procedure. His family alleges that medical errors during his care led to a catastrophic brain injury, leaving him with permanent, severe disabilities. For over three years, the family has fought for a full accounting of what happened, facing significant obstacles in obtaining complete medical records and transparency from the hospital system.
The town hall will bring together community leaders, legal experts, and policymakers to address these systemic failures and outline a path toward accountability and reform. The public is urged to support the family by signing the action alert demanding transparency from the hospital.
