On Wednesday, April 29, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, will release its latest CAIR on AIR podcast addressing the struggles incarcerees face when they go free and try to rebuild their lives.
In this episode of CAIR on Air, we speak with DeBorah Boneta, director of Oklahoma Prison Support and an Islamic chaplain who works directly with incarcerated individuals and those reentering society.
She breaks down what life is actually like for people inside prison, including Muslim reverts, the challenges they face after serving their sentences, and what needs to change to break the cycle.
