(BALTIMORE, MD, 12/11/2023) – On Tuesday, Dec. 12, the Maryland office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will hold a news conference with the parent of a former patient at the Johns Hopkins Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center to echo the call for the firing of Dr. Darren Klugman, who is director of the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Unit at Johns Hopkins Medicine and Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Dr. Klugman was placed on leave last month following swift backlash over his social media posts that endorsed the genocide and expulsion of Palestinians, and called them “morally depraved,” “barbaric” and “savage animals.”
