The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said President Biden must “take the keys” away from far-right Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the death toll in the occupied West Bank reached at least 662 and Israel announced it will conduct ethnic cleansing operations in the West Bank similar to those underway in Gaza.

In a statement, CAIR National Deputy Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell said:
“President Biden must stop the Israeli government’s massive and unprecedented attack on the occupied West Bank, which represents a clear attempt to spread the destruction of Gaza to the rest of Palestine. Netanyahu is completely out of control because he has been enabled by President Biden and President Biden must take the keys away from him before he destroys the occupied West Bank just like he destroyed Gaza.
“Sealing off cities, displacing families, attacking hospitals, destroying civilian infrastructure and dropping bombs on a captive population is exactly what the Israeli occupation forces have done in Gaza. The world cannot let it happen in the occupied West Bank.”
Israel has already slaughtered more than 40,000 people in Gaza – mostly women and children – and has systematically destroyed the civilian infrastructure in Gaza (and now in the West Bank), blocked humanitarian aid in a campaign of forced starvation, and forcibly-displaced the vast majority of the population, often multiple times.
