The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said Israel’s acts of inhumanity in Gaza must be stopped after video was posted online of Israeli occupation forces in Gaza blowing up a building as part of a “gender reveal” celebration.
Those Israeli soldiers reportedly blew up the building to reveal blue smoke, indicating a male child.
Israel has slaughtered more than 52,000 people in Gaza, mostly women and children. Since Israel broke the ceasefire in March, its forces have murdered more than 800 Palestinian children.
Amnesty International: Two months of cruel and inhumane siege are further evidence of Israel’s genocidal intent in Gaza
Over the weekend, CAIR said “international law no longer exists” after another Palestinian child reportedly died of Israeli-imposed – and U.S.-supported – forced starvation in Gaza.
In a statement, CAIR said:
“While the Israeli government slaughters and starves Palestinian babies in Gaza – with the full support of our own government – its occupation forces are now blowing up buildings to stage ‘gender reveal’ events in celebration of the birth of their own children. The inhumanity of such acts clearly demonstrates once again the brutal nature of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza and on the Palestinian people. The Israeli government must be stopped.”
CAIR recently welcomed the start of hearing before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) about Israel’s genocidal campaign of forced starvation in Gaza and the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. CAIR recently called on the world community to break Israel’s “medieval siege” on Gaza that is resulting in the starvation deaths of Palestinian children.
Washington, D.C., based CAIR marked World Press Freedom Day (May 3) by calling on American journalists and media outlets to support and speak out for their colleagues in Gaza targeted for assassination by the Israeli government.
The Muslim civil rights organization also called on the Trump administration to “rein in the Israeli government’s state terrorism” after Israel bombed an area next to the presidential palace in Damascus and allegedly launched a drone attack on a ship carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza in in international waters off Malta.
