The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said a new UN report confirms that the Israeli government is carrying out a campaign of extermination, torture and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.
[NOTE: This report comes as video has been released appearing to show Israeli soldiers killing unarmed Palestinians as they tried to reach north Gaza.]
An independent UN investigation has concluded that Israel committed crimes against humanity during the war in Gaza, including the crime of “extermination.” “The crimes against humanity of extermination; murder; gender persecution targeting Palestinian men and boys; forcible transfer; and torture and inhuman and cruel treatment were committed,” the Commission of Inquiry said in a report, due to be presented to the UN Human Rights Council next week.

UN probe accuses Israel of ‘extermination’ in war on Gaza (Video)
In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:
“This UN report confirms what has been obvious to the world for months: the Israeli government is pursuing a campaign of extermination and genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Netanyahu and his openly racist cabinet members want to finish the Nakba that started in 1948.
“Our nation cannot continue supporting these crimes. President Biden must force Netanyahu to stop his daily war crimes in Rafah and elsewhere, end all military support for the genocidal Israeli military, and allow international bodies to hold Netanyahu and other war criminals in the Israeli government to account for their crimes against humanity.”
He noted that earlier today, CAIR called on the Biden administration to investigate reports that an American soldier is taking part in the far-right Israeli government’s genocide in Gaza and reportedly posted an image of herself and a destroyed mosque defaced with insults targeting Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.
