CAIR SFBA: City of San Ramon to Recognize American Muslim Appreciation and Awareness Month

This evening, the City of San Ramon will commemorate the month of August as American Muslim Appreciation and Awareness Month (AMAAM) with a special proclamation presentation at its 7 p.m. city council meeting.  

The proclamation highlights the community’s efforts in fostering engagement, promoting interfaith dialogue, and supporting various civic initiatives that have positively impacted the lives of San Ramon residents. The presentation will take place during the first few minutes of the meeting.

  • WHERE: San Ramon City Hall, 7000 Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon  
  • WHO: The proclamation will be presented to Tehseen Khan, president of the San Ramon Valley Islamic Center, who will accept the recognition on behalf of the American Muslim community in San Ramon.
