(WASHINGTON, D.C., 2/3/21) – On Thursday, Feb. 4, lawyers from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, will hold a virtual press conference to announce the filing of a federal lawsuit on behalf of Imam Yousef Maisonet, a Muslim imam who was denied the right to accompany Muslim death row incarceree Domineque Ray during his 2019 execution.
