(BALTIMORE, MD, 3/16/21) – On Monday, May 17, the Maryland office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will hold a news conference at its Baltimore office to call for a hate crime probe into an incident targeting a Maryland Muslim man who was allegedly spat on by his neighbor on April 18.

The family reported to CAIR that over the course of two years, they have allegedly been subjected to racial/anti-immigrant slurs, told to “go back to where they came from” and that a death threat was made against member of the family.
