On Tuesday, April 2, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, plans to release its annual civil rights report during a news conference at its Capitol Hill headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Titled “Fatal: The Resurgence of Anti-Muslim Hate,” the report documents the worst wave of anti-Muslim bigotry witnessed in its 30-year history. CAIR’s new civil rights report, which examines this rise of incidents in the context of the domestic fallout of the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, details the various lived experiences of Muslims in America both during and before this time. The report will offer multiple recommendations for public officials to consider in light of new data findings.
