The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today welcomed a drop in support for Geert Wilders’ anti-Muslim, fascist “Party of Freedom” in the Netherlands.
Wilders’ party lost 12 parliamentary seats in the latest Dutch elections, a major rebuke to the party’s far-right platform.

“We welcome the decline in support for anti-Muslim hate and fascism in the Netherlands and stand in solidarity with the Dutch Muslim community,” said CAIR Deputy Executive Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell. “Mr. Wilders’ party and others like it must be rebuked across Europe.”
