In a statement, CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper said:
“It is crucial that we stand united against any form of hate-fueled violence, particularly when directed toward innocent children. Such alleged actions not only harm the victims, but also create an environment of fear and intolerance within our communities.
“By holding alleged perpetrators accountable for their bias-motivated acts, we send a powerful message that discrimination and bigotry will not be tolerated, and that everyone deserves to live free from the threat of violence.”
He said Washington, D.C., based CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
