The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today announced that Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud is scheduled to speak during CAIRCON, its upcoming national policy conference and 32nd annual gala scheduled for the weekend of Sep. 12th, 2026 in Washington, D.C.
Mayor Hammoud is set to speak on panels about democracy protection and Muslim political engagement at CAIR’s National Policy Conference, which brings together American Muslim leaders, allies, and policy experts from various fields for two days of policy discussions, strategic planning, and networking.
CAIR’s annual gala on the evening of September 12, themed “We the People: Saving Our Democracy, Building Our Future,” is also set to feature Dr. Adam Hamawy of New Jersey and Darializa Ávila Chevalier of New York City as keynote speakers, among other guests.
