In a statement, CAIR’s Maryland Director Zainab Chaudry said:
“As hundreds of thousands of students across the state return to the classrooms this week after summer break, we want to help ensure that our communities have the tools and support they need for a productive school year. This template is designed to help simplify the process for parents to make requests for religious accommodations for their children. We are committed to making sure every student has a safe and inclusive learning environment, and a year filled with growth and success.”
CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
