Community Advisory: Attend CAIR’s Watchlist Panel Discussion at ICNA-MAS on 5/28

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 5/17/2023) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today invited community members to attend a panel discussion on the watchlist to be hosted by CAIR at the ICNA-MAS Convention in Baltimore, Md., on May 28. CAIR also invited community members to attend other panels and events at ICNA in which CAIR staff plan to participate. 

CAIR’s panel, entitled “The Watchlist: Defending Civil Rights,” is scheduled from 3:30-5:00 p.m. on May 28. The discussion will be focused on the federal government’s discriminatory so-called “terrorist watchlist” and what American Muslims can do if they are unjustly placed on the list. Scheduled speakers on the panel include CAIR Deputy Executive Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell, CAIR Trial Attorney Justin Sadowsky, and Prospect Park, NJ Mayor Mohammed Khairullah.
