(WASHINGTON, D.C., 10/30/23) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), in partnership with its national network of state chapters and offices, is inviting all Americans to join its nationwide “No Gaza Genocide, Ceasefire Now Phonebank” campaign beginning Nov. 1. This initial phone banking event, aimed at supporting an end to the violence Gaza, is scheduled for Wednesday, November 1st, from 12 to 5 PM Eastern Time.

During the phone bank, starting at 12 PM ET, CAIR and CAIR chapter leaders plan host an accompanying Zoom conference call to provide a community update on the situation in Gaza and share best tips and practices for making your phone calls.

Participants are being asked to look up, speak to, and leave messages with their members of Congress in the U.S. House and Senate, in addition to President Joe Biden. Members of Congress will be asked to endorse the Ceasefire Now Resolution (H.Res.786). President Biden will be called upon to urgently demand Israel end its genocidal military bombing campaign in Gaza that has murdered more than 8,000 Palestinian civilians, almost 4,000 children.

The phone bank event aims to raise awareness about the crisis in Gaza, call for an immediate ceasefire, and encourage our elected officials to take a stand for justice and peace. We believe that by coming together as a community and reaching out to decision-makers, we can be a powerful voice for change.
