“On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we honor his legacy of service, compassion, and justice. Volunteering to make lunches for the unhoused embodies his vision of a beloved community, where no one is left behind, and everyone is treated with dignity. It’s a small but meaningful way to stand in solidarity with those in need and turn Dr. King’s dream into action” said CAIR Maryland’s Outreach Coordinator Kimberly Syuardi.
CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
