(CANTON, MI, 9/14/2021) — On Wednesday, September 15, the Michigan chapter of Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) will hold a press conference to announce a civil rights action against the City of Ferndale Michigan for the forceable removal of Muslim woman’s Islamic head scarf, or hijab, for a booking photograph.
