Rep. Jamaal Bowman to Receive CAIR’s ‘Champion of Justice’ Award at 30th Anniversary Gala Nov. 22 in D.C.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today announced that Rep.  Jamaal Bowman will offer the keynote address at its 30th anniversary gala Nov. 22 in Washington, D.C.

Rep. Bowman, who is being recognized with CAIR’s prestigious 2024 Champion of Justice award, has dedicated his time in Congress to advocating for racial justice, civil rights, economic fairness and a just foreign policy, including in the Middle East. He was one of the first members of Congress with the moral courage to call for a ceasefire in Gaza and has consistently condemned the Israeli government’s genocidal attacks on the Palestinian people.

AIPAC spent more than $14 million to silence his voice. In response, Rep. Bowman vowed to continue advocating for the liberation of Palestine.

Other speakers include national leader and activist Linda Sarsour and Dr. Sh. Haifaa Younis.
