Save the Date! CAIR Schedules 2026 Annual Gala and Policy Conference for September 12th and 13th

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today encouraged community members and supporters to save the date for CAIR’s 32nd annual gala and national policy conference, which have been scheduled for September 12th and September 13th, 2026, in the DC/Virginia/Maryland metropolitan area.

As part of CAIR Impact Weekend 2026, its 32nd annual gala is set to take place on the evening of Saturday, September 12th, and its national policy conference is set to take place during the daytime hours Sep. 12th and 13th.

Last year, CAIR’s policy conference speakers included Rep. Ilhan Omar, retired Lieutenant Colonel and Gaza Humanitarian Fund whistleblower Anthony Aguilar, Linda Sarsour, Cenk Uygur, the attorneys for freed political prisoners Mahmoud Khalil, Rumeysa Ozturk and Badr Khan Suri, and dozens of others.

During last year’s annual gala, with more than 1,000 attendees, CAIR honored keynote speaker Mahmoud Khalil with the 2025 Champion of Justice Award. His wife, free speech advocate Dr. Noor Abdalla and his legal team—Amy Greer, Ramzi Kassem, and Baher Azmy—received Civil Rights Hero Awards. So did attorney Mahsa Khanbabai, attorney for freed political prisoner Rumeysa Ozturk.
