Join the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), along with a coalition of prominent advocacy groups at the U.S. Capitol urging members of Congress in the House and Senate this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, to VOTE NO and reject the proposed Congress sending more funds to Israel to support the genocide and occupation of innocent Palestinian people.
TAKE ACTION: Urge Members of Congress to Oppose Funding for Israel’s Genocide
It is widely reported that the House will vote today on their stand-alone aid package to Israel, while the Senate will hold their initial vote on Wednesday.
Situation Overview:
The Senate is currently deliberating on a bill including $14 billion in aid to Israel within a larger $105 billion package, predominantly aimed at continuing conflicts, notably supporting the ongoing war in Ukraine. Simultaneously, House Speaker Mike Johnson is poised to present a standalone bill proposing a staggering $17.6 billion solely for Israel.
Our Mission: CAIR is joining other advocacy groups including CODEPINK, American Muslims for Palestine, U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations, Veterans for Peace, Doctors Against Genocide, and Teachers Against Genocide, among others, mobilizing to deliver a strong, unified message to Congress. We adamantly oppose any allocation of funds that exacerbates conflict and instead, call for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further human suffering.
