At 11:30 a.m. today, community organizations, unions, and immigrant advocacy groups with the South Bay Super Bowl Coalition will gather at Cesar Chavez Plaza for an “ICE Out of the Bay” Rally, coinciding with the opening day of official Super Bowl festivities.
The rally highlights community opposition to increased Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) presence in Bay Area neighborhoods ahead of Super Bowl week. Musa Tariq, policy coordinator with the San Francisco Bay Area office of the Council on American‑Islamic Relations (CAIR‑SFBA), will be among the speakers delivering remarks in solidarity with immigrant families, workers, and community organizations impacted by immigration enforcement.
