INDIAN SHORES, FL OCT. 12, 2006 – A (Tampa) Muslim cab driver said a local police department mistreated, taunted and assaulted him. Supported by a Muslim activist group, Yellow Cab driver Yaqoob Chaki told his story in front of the Indian Shores Police Department Thursday. Chaki said he was called to the Indian Shores Police Department to be questioned by a detective after a fare claimed the driver stole his cell phone and iPod.
