WHERE: Islamic Center of Maryland, 19411 Woodfield Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20879

The workshop, which will be led by expert trainers, was coordinated in response to the rising number of public safety threats across the nation. The Parkland school shooting has sparked a national debate on gun legislation reform. Since then, at least six incidents have been reported in Montgomery County of bomb threats made against, or students bringing firearms, to public schools.
CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
