CAIR-SFBA Condemns Antisemitic Hate Crimes on Stanford Campus

(SANTA CLARA, CA 3/14/23) – The San Francisco Bay Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFBA) today condemned recent antisemitic vandalism on the Stanford University campus and called for strong action against those responsible for these despicable acts of hatred.

Over the past few weeks, several incidents of antisemitic vandalism, including swastikas and other derogatory symbols, have been reported on the Stanford campus.

“We condemn in the strongest possible terms these vile acts of hatred and intolerance,” said CAIR-SFBA Executive Director Zahra Billoo. “The Jewish community is an integral part of our nation’s fabric, and we stand in solidarity with them in condemning these heinous acts.”

Billoo also called on Stanford University officials to take immediate and strong measures to ensure the safety and security of all students, faculty and staff on campus.

“Hate crimes have no place in our society and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms,” added Billoo. “We urge all members of the Stanford community to come together in the spirit of unity and tolerance to fight bigotry and hate.”
