CAIR Says Biden Admin Must Condemn Israel’s Drone Slaughter of Gaza Civilians, Horse

Israeli drone operator expresses sympathy for animal killed in attack – ‘Too bad about the horse’

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called on the Biden administration to condemn the Israeli government’s deliberate and systematic slaughter of Palestinian civilians using drones after the murders were caught on camera.

In one newly-released video, after apparently killing the civilians near a horse-drawn cart, the Israeli drone operator says, “Too bad about the horse.”

Another video retrieved from an Israeli drone shows unarmed young people walking in an open area before being killed by a drone attack.

Israel has killed almost 32,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and has forced starvation throughout Gaza.

In a statement, CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper said:

“The Biden administration has found plenty of time to condemn critics of the Israeli government over the past several months, but it has not issued a single condemnation of any of the Israeli government’s attacks on civilians in Gaza. The Biden administration must not ignore this latest clear video evidence of a war crime or issue more vague calls for Israel to investigate itself.

“The ongoing slaughter of unarmed Palestinian civilians by the forces of the far-right Israeli government, who express sympathy for an animal they murdered but not the civilians killed alongside it, is further evidence that Palestinians are not regarded as human beings by their murderers. It is this dehumanization of Palestinians that results in the current Israeli genocide, ethnic cleansing and forced starvation of an entire civilian population.”

Yesterday, CAIR called on members of Congress to reject any attempt by House Speaker Mike Johnson to invite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address to a joint session of Congress.

CAIR also condemned the Biden administration’s complicity in the starvation of Palestinian civilians in Gaza after the UN said that the Israeli government is using starvation as a “weapon of war.”
