The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, is urging all American Muslims to participate in CAIR’s 2024 General Election Survey of American Muslim Voters.
We also encourage leaders, activists, mosques, Islamic centers, and businesses within the Muslim community to share our nationwide survey by posting QR codes to the survey in popular community spaces.
The 26-multiple-choice question survey aims to better understand and promote the American Muslim community’s readiness for the 2024 general election, interests in presidential and congressional races, and Muslim political preferences, views, and attitudes on widely discussed policy issues.

“CAIR invites you and your family to participate in our annual national election survey of American Muslim voters. With over 2 million registered voters, Muslims are already making their mark in state and national primary elections. Now, it’s time for our community’s voice to be heard by candidates, elected officials, and the nation at large. The results of this survey will highlight the issues that matter most to us, ensuring that those running for office are informed and responsive to our concerns,” said Robert S. McCaw, CAIR Director of Government Affairs.
McCaw notes earlier this week CAIR released its “2024 General Election Congressional Scorecard” and “2024 Sample Questions for Candidates and Government Officials” to educate American Muslim voters and allies about how their members of Congress voted on key legislation and provide sample questions to ask candidates running for office to better to understand their stance on issues important to our community.
In February, CAIR announced that it counted over 2.5 million registered Muslim American voters nationwide. CAIR previously estimated in 2022, there were some 1.2 million or more Muslim voters.
*Note About the CAIR’s Survey of Muslim Voters, Congressional Scorecard, and Other Election Empowerment Activities:
As a nonpartisan organization, CAIR can encourage American Muslims to participate in national and state elections, conduct voter registration drives, provide training programs, issue briefings, organize candidate forums, volunteer in campaigns, and lead get-out-the-vote drives. CAIR makes no claims as to the favorability of one candidate being elected over another. Therefore, CAIR encourages American Muslims to further research the actions of their local representatives before supporting any candidate. Nonprofits cannot engage in political activities that support one candidate or party over another, but we are committed to making our community’s voice and vote heard.
La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
