On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the Chicago office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Chicago), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, will hold a press conference with doctors who have recently returned from Gaza, alongside Jewish leaders speaking in solidarity. As we are approach one year since the genocide on Gaza escalated, Chicago’s Palestinian community feel forgotten amidst rising international tensions and media diversions.
Jewish Chicagoans will join to speak up for their Palestinian friends and neighbors on the eve of Rosh Hashanah while doctors will share the grim reality of treating patients in Gaza who have likely not survived.
